PetroEd Online Oilfield Training for High School Students
PetroEd Online Oilfield Training for High School Students

For the first time, PetroEd® is providing access to the industry’s most popular on-line oilfield education courses--without cost--to qualifying students through the Open Petroleum Education Network (OPEN™).

The courses in OPEN are chalk-full of engaging multimedia, 3d animations and interactive learning that resonates with today's generation of visual learners.

High paying petroleum industry jobs await...but you have to graduate.

The OPEN initiative provides educational institutions and students worldwide with immediate access to best-in-class multimedia learning materials for the oil and natural gas industry at little or no cost. The OPEN program offers supplemental multimedia learning materials. In today’s frenzied market for skilled engineers, many instructors find themselves deluged with students seeking degrees in petroleum-related programs; they may not have sufficient resources and time to handle the capacity. OPEN allows students to take on-line courses before attending petroleum related classes.

About PetroEd

The OPEN initiative is PetroEd's sustainability program launched in 2010 with founding sponsor SGS in Geneva, Switzerland; the program allows selected universities access to premium quality on-line educational material focused on technical oil and natural gas operations. We are now introducing the course at the secondary school level.

Aqueous Services Looks to Lead the Way in Eagle Ford Water Supply and Water Management - Press Release

Aqueous Services Water Tanks
Aqueous Services Water Tanks

Aqueous Services opened its freshwater load out facility with the mission of providing water and water management services to oil and gas companies operating in the Eagle Ford.

The Aqueous facility is unique to the region, specifically designed for maximum efficiency and ease of use.

Water is an important topic on everyone’s mind,” said Frates Seeligson, president of Aqueous Services. “Companies needed an accessible water source to supply man camps, build roads, pads and most importantly for hydraulic fracturing. Local residents and landowners want to know their resource is used in a responsible and sustainable way. We listened to both their needs, creating a fully automated facility that is open 24/7, while laying the groundwork for expansion into recycling. Obtaining fresh water is now as simple as filling out a credit application and filling up the trucks.

he Aqueous Services’ load out facility is fully expandable, and was built to facilitate a frac fluid recycling program.  Aqueous is focused on promoting environmental sustainability within the industry, and can work with companies to help design a water management program that minimizes the amount of water used in the drilling and hydraulic fracturing process.  This is imperative to an area in South Texas that is already facing one of the worst droughts in the State’s history.

It is important that we continue to focus on frac fluid recycling so that we remain good stewards of the environment while exploring for the oil and gas deposits that help fuel our local, state and national economies,” said Clayton Carter, CEO of Freestone Resources, Inc. (OTCQB:FSNR), an oil and gas technology development company and a partner in Aqueous Services. “The Aqueous fresh water load out facility is the first step in promoting this effort. Only a certain percentage of the hydraulic fracturing fluids immediately return to the surface in what is known as flowback water. A viable recycling operation will have to supplement the recycled water with other water sources, such as the water source currently provided by Aqueous, to sustain a continuous hydraulic fracturing program. A recycling facility can reduce fresh water consumption by up to 40% per well. When you’re talking about millions of gallons of water used to complete each well, it’s clear that recycling can make a drastic impact in the reduction of water consumption.

Aqueous Services has signed up numerous companies in the Eagle Ford since it first opened.  The Aqueous load out facility is strategically located near the cities of Stockdale, Nixon, and Gillette at 2200 CR 458 in Wilson County 78143. Water is provided 24/7 from the Carrizo Aquifer.  To learn more, visit Aqueous Services’ website at http://www.aqueousservices.com.
